I recently read Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address: Commemorative Papers edited by Allan Nevins, and I found it to be both insightful and inspiring. The collection brings together different perspectives that highlight just how powerful Lincoln’s words remain, even generations later. Reading it sparked the idea for me to work on my own project, which I am calling The Gettysburg Address (Annotated) with Twelve Lessons in Public Speaking. My focus is on drawing lessons not only for public speaking but also for online content creation today. This book reminded me that the best speeches are timeless, and that words, when chosen carefully, can still change the way we think and act.
