Had it not been such a weak beginning, I might have liked this book a whole lot better. Because when I started reading this book aloud to my kids, I felt as if the main for characters was just paperdolls. Because they didn't have any characterization to them. I didn't get a FEEL for who they were more then horse crazy girls.
But I will have to admit as the story went on, that solved itself. Was just to bad they were so dull and lifeless in the beginning. A shame. I hope that will improve as this series progresses.
Kiddo loved it, and I got my suspicion confirmed in the end who the bad guy was. Was a nice time reading together.
Horse-riding team up to solve horse & pony mysteries. In this one Moonlight, Poppy’s horse is stolen, and they investigate.
I enjoyed this! It’s a nice mash-up of middle-grade mystery and pony book and I love both genres. I liked that each girl has a distinct personality. Mia was my favourite, she’s the most elegant horse rider and I was really impressed with her. Will definitely read the other books!
Never too late for a little kid friendly detective work and horses. A lot of girls would find this interesting but still fun, wondering where the pony detectives will end up next.
