In 1997, Fairview Press sponsored a writing contest challenging kids and teens to write how they felt about something they had done to change the world. The variety of well-written responses from across the U.S.-from groups that helped clothe the homeless to a Girl Scout Troop that sponsored needy families during the holidays-will inspire other kids and teens to take a look at how they can make positive changes in their communities.
