The text also presents the basic mechanics of structural concrete and methods for the design of individual members for bending, shear, torsion, and axial force, and provides detail in the various types of structural systems applications.

The rigid structure and strength, yet suprising ductility...yes, reinforced concrete is truly a majestic material. This is simply a fantastic book. I literally could not put it down. I would recommend it to anyone that is enthralled by concrete, especially reinforced concrete. A must read for those who are avid pursuers of the subtle nuances that concrete provides.
