Find Your Hill: Worth Fighting For

Rate this book
It is easy to tell the story when you are the hero. Everyone is comfortable playing their highlight reel. But what is the value in just seeing the good parts? What do we learn when people only share the successes they have had?
In order to fully understand, and derive value, from stories of achievement, it is important we know the whole story. To know greatness, we must come to know failures first. If we are to become the best version of ourselves, we must know that failure, accept it, and leave it behind.
I never dreamed I would help change the world, I never thought I was capable of having that type of impact. I was wrong. I led a movement that started with a handful of people and grew to inspire millions around the country and the world.
I came into that power by forgiving myself and accepting my failures, learning that I was more than my mistake, and promising myself a better day and tomorrow. I am no different from you, and I changed the world.
You can too.
The aim of this book is to empower the individual to understand the capacity they have to positively impact the world around them.

Surprisingly good. Reads as a breeze. Usually not a big fan of biographies or anecdotal stories, but this was good. An emotional start of the story with a car accident and prison sentence which hits the feels on a few occasions - which could be personal. The middle segment of their battle against the authorities (of New Jersey) is a good read and offers some insight in their workings. The third and last part, which focusses his congressional run and ways towards a healthier society contains some very profound, but down to earth, quotes.

I have to admit I am not a big reader, but I just received this amazing book in the mail and cannot stop reading it! Even if you don’t know who Ian is, this book really does appeal to everyone. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. We all battle demons. I can’t wait to finish reading this masterpiece with typos and all. Thank you Ian for standing up to the tyranny and fighting for freedom.

This book is very inspiring! Ian Smith is a role model for people who want a better world. We have the framework in the USA - a constitution that stands the rest of time. Ian Smith inspires me to stand for our constitution. Great read!

It takes a truly humble person to willingly admit their mistakes & faults and a truly courageous leader to stand up not just when it's convenient, but when they may have to stand alone in their convictions, and Ian Smith is exemplary of both. This is a story of tragedy, struggle & triumph and I am truly inspired.
