Generations Working Together: What Everyone Needs to KNOW and DO!

Rate this book
All organizations today are prone to friction between members of different generations. And in far too many cases, coworkers lack both the understanding and skills necessary to narrow these classic “generation gaps.” That’s a huge problem!

Left unchecked, generational differences at work can negatively impact everything from interpersonal relationships, teamwork, morale, and productivity—to an organization's ability to recruit and retain top-notch people and achieve its overall mission. When that happens, EVERYONE loses. But it doesn't have to be that way! To ensure these challenges do not impact your organization’s effectiveness, you will want to provide copies of this new handbook to EVERYONE in your organization!

This was interesting in terms of comparing different methods of working with people from different perspectives. There's a clear bias against Millennials, though, that's incredibly frustrating. But I guess that could just be the "spoiled, impatient, egocentric, and technology dependent" part of me talking. 🤷

This booklet completely contradicts itself. It says not to stereotype but then uses words like "pampered," "coddled" and "expect to be given" when discussing millennials. It insults all of my younger coworkers - none of whom are any of these things. Go find a better resource on collaboration amongst the different generations. Though short, don't waste your time reading it.
