POET BIO

Jude Goodwin established herself as an accomplished poet during the early 2000’s when the internet first began to form itself into a viable platform for emergent writers. She has won numerous nominations and placings in the popular Internet Board Poetry Competition, eventually earning 9th position in their Poet of the Decade (2000-2010) listings. She has also been Featured Poet on Eclectica Magazine, and recently, one of her poems was included in Eclectica’s Best Poetry print anthology. Goodwin’s poetry has been published in a variety of online and print magazines, and included in two other anthologies. Her entry in the CBC’s Literary Awards has been shortlisted twice.

Over the past decade Goodwin founded the Squamish Writers Group and was a member of the board for many years, participating in workshops and performances during that time. She also founded, along with fellow poet Antonia Clark, who continues to co-administer, The Waters Poetry Workshop, an online workshop that encourages new voices and gently nurtures their journey to proficiency.

In 2018 Goodwin launched the Sea to Sky Review, an online literary journal featuring the writings of BC Canada authors and poets.

Goodwin recently achieved a degree in Creative Writing with Douglas College, BC, Canada. She lives on the Vancouver east side with her fur-friend Julip, and near her daughters and grandkids.

Jude Goodwin's first book, The Night Before Snow, was published in September 2018. A hybrid publishing nightmare makes the edition that can be found on Amazon a flawed piece. Best to find the revision on Barnes & Noble - https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-...
