I really like a lot about this one.
I simply ADORE the BTL drive (The FAL drive, not as much even though its basically the same thing).

I like the Bendall Field, though I would have taken it way further.

Love the Hydronaut's and the Astro-Automatons.

Love the 50's setting, less in love with the 70's remake – though I do love how in the remake they use the FAL drive several times.

I really like some of the game mechanics – especially the higher you roll without going over you skill score the better the result. I also like the Zero Skills and Dice.

So I will definitely steal... I mean borrow elements of the setting and the mechanics (Really do like the Zero Dice, I think its the best Destiny/Fate system I have seen so far) to use, but I probably will use a different underlying system.

Definitely a fun read.

I have to admire their dedication to the bit. And it makes me feel very old that this came out 20 years ago. This game has a very strong, tight premise, and your players have to be really on board with their role as Buck Rogers heroes leading the rebellion.
There's a lot to admire in the system, though parts of it can feel clunky as it's very much build on a second generation chassis with new ideas bolted on. The character archetypes have some inspired bits in them, but the GM is met with a real problem - what do you do when everyone inevitably wants to play super-intelligent pets?
