Quiet and unassuming Nina Manchester avoided a hectic life style at all cost. Then he happen. She had her life just the way she wanted it. Designed to fit her and her children and mno one else. So why then did he fit so well? He was a dream come true, but could he be trusted? After all anyone who visited the Dream Maker had to be corrupt, didn't they?
She does not have a very good self preservation bone in her body. If you walk out and you're the only car here and ALL of your tires are flat then a wrecker comes out of NO WHERE that you didn't call and your boyfriend is on the phone telling you ways to protect yourself until he gets there....hmm...well something is not right here? Didn't the man who tried to kill her got away? Didn't he say he needed her dead? And if she wasn't so damn needy Rafe could've gotten up and restrained that bastard! You asking him to stay near you, No begging him, and the whole time the attempt muderer gained consciousness and crawled out of a window to perhaps kills you later? Nina, maybe nice and sweet but her heads not in the game. Why did she beg Rafe to stay behind anyway? He already beat the living monkey fieces out of the man, LET HIM QUICKLY CALL THE POLICE YOU DUMB BITCH! Now he got away to kill you for another day, I hope she is happy with herself. The dumb bitch.
So Frank is back but now Nina is in some love/hate thing with Rafe. GOD it's so tiresome. Then they lie about the stupidest things, Miranda being his mom, the children being adopted, he's her boss, etc. I'm not really a truthful person but this book has enough lies and bullshit to have me sprouting the truth like it was no tomorrow and saying bye to feelings.
Now she wants to grow claws? when it's time to listen she wants to fight back? And Frank dumb ass...Don't get me started on Beth? What happened to stay in a child's place? For a 16 year old she acts a little retarded. I wouldn't be mad if Rafe knocked her ass out, both of them. Then gagged them and tied them to some chairs. Beth is annoying as well as Nina and other than that Fucked Up nun shit and Frank, I don't see what's her problem. Miranda lied to you about her being his mom? If this was real love she felt for Rafe she wouldn't have been so easy to dismiss him with out an explanation or working it out somehow. Nina and Beth are exceedingly annoying, Frank is a jackasswipe and Rafe is an unnecessary compulsive liar. Did I miss anyone?
As you can tell I went through emotions throughout the whole book but I prevailed. It was a great book. I wouldn't mind a little book where the WHOLE family can get together.
