Well if that doesn’t grab ya,...
Great story for a family
It’s long and it’s format doesn’t read well with groups of small young children
But it’s well written
Full of facts
Quite humerus

Look Behind is an informational story about animals, told in alphabetical order. The illustrations are watercolor and capture animals doing interesting and silly things. This book could introduce both biological facts as well as reinforce learning of the alphabet.

This is a hilarious book that explores the ABC's, while using the "behinds" of all different types of animals. I loved the creativity Schaefer explored throughout this book, and would definitely use it as a prompt for writing ABC books. I can definitely guarantee that students will find this rhyming book to be extremely engaging, and you'll constantly hear laughing while you read it. Since this book does talk about different animal behinds, you might want to be cautious with the age group. Therefore, I would recommend the book for children in 1st grade and higher.

Another title we will be throwing into the mix for our The ABCs of Critical Thinking project will be doing with our juniors this spring. This one was recommended to us by Aimee Buckner, a wonderful resource for early reader titles.

Playful approach to the ABC genre, but the non-fiction aspects of this title would make it a welcome inclusion into an animal unit.

As an invitation to writing, students could further explore appropriate body parts of the animal kingdom. Love this one!!!
