Older book on digital photography buy still a good one to look back on

Alright so I am new to DSLR Camera's, I have a film camera that is SLR but moving into the Digital realm is new to me besides my digital point & shoot camera. This book is a great place to start for people that are new to DSLR cameras. I have found it very helpful, even for helping me choose which camera to buy. I am so glad that I picked up this book before just buying some camera because now I know exactly what I want & the features I need to look for like a View Finder is a must for me because I like to take photo's outside & you just can't see outside using the LCD screen. This book also does a great job at explaining how to get the most out of your camera by using the manual modes & tells all about the different lens & filters to buy. Very well written & easy to read guide.
