I do commend authors that write to entertain us. Writing a story from start to finish isn't something I personally can not do. With that being said, I really struggle with this story, and here is why.

The main characters, Olivia and Alistair seem like a great match, however, I think the author in the beginning stayed too focus on their lives separately, that it made the reader uninterested. Within the first chapter, Olivia meets Alistair at her best friends wedding. They started a conversation, seem attracted to each other , but after the wedding nothing. At this time, the author is laying out to us, the reader, both their lives as Olivia is in a relationship and Alistair is living his life. The book's length is 3959 kindle format, Olivia and Alistair, meet in chapter one, they didn't connect or talk to each other again until 1126, that is 28% of the book, they weren't even thinking about each other during this time. By that time I lost interest and that attraction sizzled out for me.

I think its important that when you start an attraction between the characters, its good to keep that momentum going. It is that attraction that is driving the reader to want to read more. I thought their romance was put on the back burner and everything else as well as the other story lines were put in its place. Simone, Olivia's best friend , she had a interesting story line that was a little trifling , but I knew more about Simone's situation and relationship more than Olivia.

Overall, I read a few more pages, but still did not feel my interest coming back. I tried sticking it out but I got lost. This could be another reader's pace, but for me it wasn't.
