Encounters: New Art from Old

Rate this book
To celebrate the millennium, the National Gallery invited twenty-four of the world's leading contemporary artists to create an entirely new work in response to one of the greatest collections of European painting of the past. These new works - paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography and video - are presented here alongside the paintings that inspired them.
