I really enjoyed how the author was able to connect McCarthy as a threat to democracy, and gradually explain how over his career he grew to be not credible on any account or accusation. I see a lot of this book in todays world. Great read, enjoyed reading it for my thesis!

Y 921 McCarthy Well written book about the communist scare in the 1950's,and the man who misled many people into believing stupid things. As this repeats in history, (Hitler, Pol Pot, etc.), this is a good book for young people to read.
