As someone who has read several of Gide's published works, I found the book interesting. However, it's important to mention that the author is Freudian and thus reviews Gide and Gide's books with an incorrect bias. I enjoyed reading how Gide influenced the world and was influenced (especially the parts about Camus and Nietzsche) and about his role as a demoralizer. However, parts of it were very dry and I expected more from the chapter "The Corruptor Of Youth" as most of the chapter was devoted to Gide's possible influence over one other author.
