I like murder mysteries. But a whole book where the murder is described in such detail is just too much. There are poems and extracts from books by many well known authors. In a murder mystery the description of the murder forms only a small part of the book, usually not even a page. The rest of the book is the following of clues and the questioning of suspects. But here it is page upon page of horrific murders. And there is even a piece where there is a eight pages with only one paragraph!! No time for a break of even for an eye to blink. And De Sade also appears and says that murder is a good thing. The only good thing is a humorous story called “The Macbeth murder mystery”. One of the characters says that evidence shows that Macbeth didn’t murder Macduff but someone else. And there is a further twist to the story. And no description of the murder. It made me laugh out loud. One ray of light in a book full of darkness.

Great anthology that has a wide variety of stories and authors. The book is seperated by topics like Cannablilism (Freud) which makes it super easy to locate exaclty what "Murder" subject is your interest of the day.

There is a Max Garland story in here. I wonder if it's good.
