The first female private eye is back in action, and she's a volatile combination of Marilyn Monroe and Mike Hammer! First appearing in 1957, Honey went on to star in eleven novels and the successful 1965 TV show starring Anne Francis, as well as the current series of comic books from Moonstone. For the first time anywhere, the original Honey West novels are reprinted in one series of books! This volume collects "This Girl for Hire", "A Gun for Honey", and "Girl on the Loose".
Honestly, I wanted to like this book, but as a modern woman, more liberated, obviously not its intended audience at all, I would steer you away. How many conversation can we have about Honey's figure in the first 70 pages? Honestly, I don't know if there's any other topic written about.
If you can get past the sexism, you probably might notice that the rest of the book is a grocery list of potential murder subjects.
