A mixed collection of ideas and information. There is quite bit of useful information, quite well indexed, including a list of plants with brief details. There are some useful ideas, such as thinking about the views from windows. However some of the ideas are silly or tasteless, such as using odd things as containers, some are over grandiose and would be incredibly expensive, like making a sunk garden. The ideas taken from 'great gardens' do not work on a small scale. Overall it feels a bit dated..
