Medical law is one of the fastest growing areas of legal study. This work is designed both to introduce the student to the great range of the subject and to make available to the student and practitioner alike the wealth of material now available in common law jurisdictions. The accompanying text is far more extensive than may be usual in books of materials. Where there are materials in English law, they often need careful analysis and explication, and often there simply are no materials such that, if a particular area is to be analyzed, it must be by way of text.
