Jan Preisler (1872-1918) was a leading representative of modern Czech painting at the beginning of the 20th century. Preisler made a living by painting large decorative pieces to be set in Art Nouveau architecture, but a large part of his work comprises charcoal and crayon drawings, presented here. 11.5x9.5", 205 pp, color illustrations, text in Czech with summaries in English, French and Russian.
