This is a very cute informational book that gives step-by-step illustrated instructions on how to draw knights, castles, jousting, spearmen, and a variety of other related figures. It also encourages readers (or participants) to use a variety of art materials and techniques to create their artwork. The book is probably most appropriate for 3rd grade and above and would be just a fun book to have around in the classroom for students to read and draw with during free time. Also, it provides a great example of a how-to book and could be used to model this for students before they learn to write their own how-to steps.
