With a future goal of incorporating consultation more widely in early childhood settings and in educational settings, this book did a great job of outlining roles and responsibilities. It provided forms that could be utilized or tweaked throughout the process. It also provided numerous assessments to assist with the process of outlining concerns/goals. It was a well thought out overview of the process with addressing the main concerns or problematic areas with consultation. We must remember, consultation is a team based approach - we must respect the consultees and the child, consultants are not the fixers of the problem, but resources that can assist the consultee in fixing the problem.
