The Australia Acts 1986: Australia's Statutes of Independence

Rate this book
The Australia Acts are fundamental constitutional documents for Australia. Negotiated behind closed doors, little has been known of their background and purpose. This book reveals what was intended, what was disputed and what was rejected. It also provides a close analysis of the power to enact the Australia Acts, the validity of the provisions and their impact on the Crown and Australia's independence.

From what I can see, this Act made changes to the 1901 Constitution of the Australian Commonwealth without referendum as per Section 128. I cannot find a referendum that supports this Act. This makes the Act null and void and very possibly, treacherous in my opinion. Some example I have found are, 1. The Preamble in this Act says "where as the prime minister" which contradicts "Where as the People" and 2. Our ability to seek remedy at the Privy Council has been revoked. The Constitution was put in place with Letters Patent which means only a Monach, can remove or change our constitution and not the parliament which is what has occurred from what I can see. I hope I am wrong for the sake of this country.
