Who's better qualified to write a picture book about the life of a pediatrician than double-doctor Fred Ehrlich. (He's a pediatrician and also a child psychiatrist. Oboy, what a life!)
Readers will enjoy:
* Rhyming text.
* Fantastically fun illustrations. (Courtesy of Laura Rader)
Altogether there's a very realistic-seeming description, very slice-of-life, about a folksy and capable physician. He does happen to have both feet and his bill... in a pleasing shade of neon yellow.
Sure, why not learn about real-life doctors from the story of Doctor Duck?
In picture book reality, this delightful (yet truly impossible) story seems to make TOTAL sense. FIVE STAR sense.

This book was cute fallowing doctor duck around on his many adventures. I really enjoyed the ryhm sceme and the ending was cute. Although I found some of the word choice intresting. I feel that reading through the birth scenes in this book was a little odd. But over all it was a good book. Im not sure though if this would be a book I would read to a future class room.

This book is a very cute book to represent animals on a farm and their babies. I would use this book in a younger grade simply because the plot is not that intense. You could use it in the spring when all animals are having babies.
