I like how this book gives a basic idea of what Christmas is and why it’s celebrated. However I think this book may not be appropriate for a classroom especially in a public school unless approved by parents due to the mention of Jesus, Santa and Christianity. I like how this book does not lean too far on the religious aspect of Christmas because most young children do not understand that reasoning for Christmas. This book keeps Christmas in a kids perspective by focusing more on concerts and Santa.

In this introduction to Christmas, readers will learn about customs and traditions associated with the holiday as well as its religious significance to Christians. One of the best parts of the book is the author's avoidance of descriptions of what children get for Christmas; instead, she provides ways in which they can help others on the holiday. The book is filled with happy faces enjoying the days leading up to Christmas.
