Extremely simple and short explanations which can be helpful depending on the age group. I do appreciate that there is only one image per page, instead of how many of this type of book put a whole mess of busy images onto one page.

Simple vocabulary and easy-to-read text accompany large, colorful photographs that show lots of youngsters enjoying St. Paddy's Day. A very brief biography of the holiday's namesake and some of the traditions associated with the holiday are provided, and readers are given directions to grow their own cup of green from oat seeds. Almost needless to say, the color green dominates the book's pages.
