This story is about a greedy land baron named Titus Peabody who employs a gang of hired guns to terrorize the landowners around the Arizona Territory of Tucson. Peabodyâ€s intent is to scare the landowners out of town by whatever means necessary. Itâ€s not long before Peabodyâ€s two sons, Ben and Charlie, become involved with cattle rustling, robbing stagecoaches, and eventually the death of a local lawman. Peabody also has a daughter, Amy, who is unaware of her familyâ€s dastardly deeds. When the townâ€s Deputy Marshal, Ray Cole, (Raco) falls in love with Amy, Rayâ€s responsibilities soon become very complicated. When Ray discovers that Peabody and his gang were responsible for the deaths of his parents when Ray was a child, Rayâ€s career is in jeopardy. Ray wonders if Amy could ever find it in herself to forgive him for arresting and prosecuting her father and brothers. If convicted, they face life in prison or worse, the hangmanâ€s noose!
