This book provides the conceptual and theoretical development of SIA by one of the founders and his colleagues of this applied social science field. The 24 chapters are organized around the following • Developing the Concept of Social Impact Assessment • The Process and Methods of Social Impact Assessment • Case Studies in Social Impact Assessment • Social Impact Assessment and the Public Involvement Process • Social Impact Assessment in an International Context
If I ditch natural science, I can see myself getting a job as a social impact assessor. If that day comes, ill def return back to this for the SIA variables & the international principles
I’d say this has a structural functionalist theoretical undertone. I think it puts the emphasis on individual projects and developments, but all that shit is futile if the dominant society is run under capitalist exploitation
