The book of Eli was about the struggle of a man who tried to keep hold of a book that is suppose the give a man power if he reads. Eli is a blind man who is crippled by not being able to see because of one of the disasters the happened when the world became barren. Some of the things that Eli faces is dieing of thirst because water is t a natural resource anymore and hunger. Another thing is that a very powerful man is looking for the book as well and is sending out men to look for it. Eli comes to the town where the man is and gets into an altercation with the cronies of the man. He asks Eli if be want to work for him and tried to get him to work for him. Eli denies the offer and continues on with his way . The man realizes some clues that Eli has the book so he asks him for it and Eli says no. So the hunt Eli down for the book but doesn't get it right away. Eli has read that book every day. The man get a hold on it's and takes the book and Eli goes to an island and goes to a man who is trying to rebuild the nation and tell him the book word for word. Mean while be man is about to open the book and when he does he sees nothing but brail. I would recommend this book to all my friends. It was a great book because it shows how it's possible to over come anything.
I chose, "The Book of Eli" because it captivates with a dystopian setting, and a narrative rich in themes of faith and knowledge. It's a compelling blend of action and profound storytelling, urging reflection on humanity's resilience and the power of belief.
Eli is an enigmatic, resilient hero. His journey reveals layers of depth through interactions, with gradual revelations that shape both Eli's unwavering determination and with the antagonistic governor, a riveting character who wants to use the book for his own power.
The story’s plot projects a post-apocalyptic journey of survival and purpose. Eli's quest to safeguard a sacred book unfolds, revealing surprising twists and a gripping climax that elevates the narrative's exploration of faith, resilience, and the pursuit of knowledge.
My personal favorite part of this storyline is the challenges Eli has to face. From traveling west with no destination, to even getting shot at without getting hit. I thought this creativity was astonishing and very interesting, The way the story brings a lot of faith with it makes it even more enjoyable because I am a full hearted follower of Christ.
I recommend this book for people who are looking for something new. Definitely not for the faint of heart but if you like twist and plot turn with some action, this book may be for you. You must also be able to understand that this is also involving an outside force or what many would say is God, so if you’re into that definitely give it a shot.
