Unix Shell Programming

This book is centered on the scenario of interviews. That being said it only gives you knowledge about the questions that can be asked in interviews. So if you are looking for learning shell programming, this book is not for you. On the other hand, if you are only looking for a book for the solemn purpose of interview questions you can give it a shot as it contains dedicated questions on BASH and C shell, with including the HR questions and other basics of it. Now the problem arises with the page quality, the printing standards and the price point; which to me, are not at all upto the mark and satisfying. The printing has some mistakes in the margins and the spine quality can be improved.

🌟 With 11 chapters and a total of 352 questions, the book is perfect for peparing for the interview.
🌟 I believe that this book could be used to build the confidence that you require for the interview.
🌟 Also, the questions are been divided into the knowledge Level, ie, for beginners and for skilled.
🌟 The topics such as C shell, arrays and variables are covered in this book.
🌟 Language is easily understandable.
The book does not talks about the detailed explanation of each topic but it is just to give you an idea of how to prepare for the interview.
For the detailed explanation, I would not recommend this book.
🌟 Some printing errors are there which could be fixed.
🌟 All the questions are summed up in the last page of the book which , again I would say this, is great for people like me as I have this habit of just taking a look of all the questions before the main day.
🌟 The answers given along with the questions is to give you an idea of how to answer in the interview. It basically talks about the way to answer in the interview.
🌟 A few line explanation is given which somehow helps to clear the concept to some extent.
🌟 Overall, this book was nice.
