Frederick Dundas Todd was the first Provincial Apiarist (bee-keeper) of British Columbia, Canada, until 1921. He emigrated to the U.S. from Scotland with his wife of three years, pursuing photojournalism in New York and Chicago before progressing on to Ashland, Oregon, and thence on to Victoria, B.C.
