My only regret is that I did not read this years ago when I started on my first board.....should be required reading for all BOD members

Good overview book, but you really need the full set to be engaged with the material. BUT I know which books I need to get from the rest of the series now.

Useful information and a must read for any board member of not-for-profit boards.

Good little primer on basic board responsibilities. Cut-and-dried, lean, not philosophical, extremely practical.

A quick and reasonably easy read. I read it for a class on charitable planning and, as one who has worked more with donors than with boards, there were some useful takeaways for me. If/when I find myself serving on a board someday I have no doubt I will pull out the book again for a deeper dive into some of the topics
