About the author

Moinul Islam was born in Bangladesh before coming to the UK at the age of six years old. Moinul was raised in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets where he had most of his education before later moving to Oldham. Over the last decade he has been working with young people as a Mentor and has worked on various educational community projects. Moinul is a previous winner of the Pride Of Oldham award for his work in the community.

Moinul is a school teacher and regularly works with children of all ages on various community projects. He is a popular figure in the Oldham area who brings a wonderful energy to his school presentations/book readings. His ‘Anisha’s Adventures’ books are based on a young girl who travels the world learning about different cultures, countries and people. This combination of education, multiculturalism and fun runs through the whole Anisha's Adventures series.

A quote from Moinul, “The thought of writing a book never crossed my mind, until that night. That night I was reading a bedtime story to my daughter and at the end of the story I said “one day I will write a story and you will be the main character” not knowing that the coming months will be a constant reminder “dad when will you write my story.” Nine months later I wrote the book “Anisha’s Adventures” which is dedicated to my daughter Anisha and my late father.”
