Good intro to the brain and how it works, written in clear language that won’t put teens to sleep.

There is some good information here and interesting examples of teen behavior, but the book is repetitive and sometimes simplistic. As a librarian, I was especially perplexed by the paltry sources and the statements about further research at the end of each chapter. These included, for example: "Learn more about the contents of this chapter Search the Internet for pleasure circuit, risk taking in adolescents, and thrill seeking." This downgrades the value of the information in the book by referring readers to materials that are not necessarily accurate. More specific sources would have been much better within each chapter.
