This book is all about rocks. How they're formed, their characteristics, and their different classifications. The three classifications of rocks include: igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary. Each of these categories are found in different areas of the world and the book also explains to readers where each type of rock is located.

I personally didn't really enjoy this book because it's older and not very eye-catching. The illustrations would be much more appealing in color than in black and white.

I don't think this book would be very beneficial in a classroom library because I don't believe many students would be greatly interested in the material. It would be good to use for a geology lesson, but I don't think I would keep it all year long.
