Greg Evans is an American cartoonist and the creator of the syndicated comic strip Luann. He received the 2003 National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for the strip. He has been nominated four other times for the same award.
Luann is elevated slightly from the typical gag-a-day newspaper comic strip by virtue of its semi-ongoing storylines (usually revolving around the title character's romantic interest of the moment) or something involving her family or friends. It's certainly no gripping page-turner, but it's a fun, light read. I imagine all of the comics are available for reading online somewhere, so unless you come across one of the collected print editions like this in a thrift store or something- like I did- I'd not suggest seeking them out for any substantial investment of time or money.
I think this is the second Luann book, which I picked up at ComicCon in 2019. Love the comic, wish there were compiled books for the college years. And Luann is the typical teen, in love with one boy but not willing to give up her sure thing guy friend just in case her heartthrob doesn't ask her to the prom.
