The Story of Joseph and Judah

Rate this book
How should we respond to rejection by loved ones? How do we demonstrate forgiveness and seek restoration of a broken family? How do we trust God's sovereignty in life's trials? And how do we maintain integrity during life's triumphs? In this study, you will take a fresh look at Genesis 37-50 and find the answers to these challenging questions. But there is much beneath the familiar details of Joseph's life that you may have never seen. You will rediscover one of the most beautiful compositions in the Bible, if not all of literature, and will be changed as you gain a new understanding of God's redemptive love and sovereign plan for your life. (You also will learn why we included Joseph's brother Judah in the title of this book.) "The Story of Joseph and Judah" is Volume 1 of the Masterpiece Study Series, which will teach you to see the Word of God with new eyes, revealing the beauty and complexity of the Scripture. Each volume is adaptable for individual or group study. Using the latest insights from the original language text, you will examine the Bible like a great work of art, created by God Himself. You will be changed as you discover the beauty of this masterpiece, and will be drawn closer to the heart of the Master Artist behind it.

Lots of great points and comparisons but very scattered. Written for devotional or lesson use.

Gage's treatment is a must read for a unique but biblical look at these biblical texts. A pleasant surprise as a pastor, and a helpful resource in building my own sermons for these passages.

This is the best bible study I have ever been through, the connections of application and the break down of events are so thought provoking.
I am finishing this study for the third time and there is so much more to still absorb the next time we go through it.
