Librarian Faith Newberry and her friends at Castleton Manor in Lighthouse Bay, Massachusetts, ring in the New Year with pomp and circumstance. The lively festivities usher in the Everything Shakespeare event, showcasing the performances of a boisterous theater troupe. Something wicked this way comes when one of the guests is murdered.

It's the New Year at Castleton Manor in Lighthouse Bay, Massachusetts. To celebrate Castleton is hosting the Everything Shakespeare event showcasing shortened plays, music from that time period and much, much more.
The event takes a dark turn when one of the Castleton employees is murdered...one who knew a few of the main actors in the troupe. Partner that with mysterious pranks happening around the manor and it seems Faith & Watson have their hands full of mysteries to solve. Can they do so before anyone else is hurt? Or worse killed?
I have said this a few times...I LOVE this cozy series. I will be heartbroken when this one comes to an end.
One thing that I really enjoy about this series, besides Watson the cat, is the highlighting of different genres or authors. This one spotlighted Shakespeare with an acting troupe visiting Castleton Manor. I enjoyed Wolfe getting more page time in this book. I always love Watson's appearances and the times when we see life from his perspective. There were quite a few suspects in this one and a bit of a twist at the end.
I love the Secrets of Castleton Manor Library series! The characters are very likeable and the cozy mystery has some twists that kept me guessing. Faith Newberry is the.librarian at Castleton Manor. The owners are Charlotte Jaxon and her son Wolfe. In Page Fright (book 16), the Manor is hosting a Shakespeare troupe who are putting on several plays. Faith is helping the Stage Manager and Wolfe has small parts in the various plays. He asks Faith to help him with his lines so they spend quite a bit of time together in this book. One of the Manor employees is found dead and Faith, Wolfe, and friends are trying to figure out what is going on. Of course Faith's cat Watson helps out. This is an enjoyable cozy mystery!
Just ok for me. Maybe not a fair review. I don’t like cozy mysteries and wouldn’t have bought this book if I’d realized that it was one.
I don’t believe a small group of classmates that don’t like each other would form an acting troupe. Didn’t like being inside the head of a cat. And I’ve been spoiled by the cats in the Lilian Jackson Braun series. Poor Watson in this book just doesn’t measure up for me.
Shakespeare is the focus of the current event taking place at Castleton Manor. Actors are staying at the manor and Faith, her gang of manor worker bees, and of course Watson are all staying for a few nights as the actors are working late. Two bodies and a missing friend has Faith scrambling and Wolf fighting the murderer. Number 16 in the series is as always easy reading and lets me sleep easy.
Another awesome story in this series, featuring Faith and her intrepid feline sidekick Watson. This time, they're thrust into the drama of a Shakespearean acting troupe, and encounter mayhem rooted in past grievances revisited in the present.
