If T’ai Chi is the trunk of the tree of knowledge and chi healing, Chi Kung presents the roots—and neither can flourish without the other. T’ai Chi Chi Kung helps the beginner to understand this dual philosophy. The exercises can be practiced individually or as a whole, for as little as five minutes a day. Some are ideal for the end of a stressful day; others will uplift the spirit if performed outdoors in the sunshine; some can even be applied to routine tasks. T’ai Chi is also recommended for the elderly, as it improves postural stability, reducing the risk of falls as well as pain. Abundantly illustrated with instructive color photos, T’ai Chi Chi Kung will show you how to enhance self-esteem and self-development in a happy and healthy body.
As a student of Rainbow Tai Chi, this book is invaluable to help reinforce the learning and just like in practicing Tai Chi and learning to slow down, the lessons and wisdom shared in this book begin to sink in and transform your life, truly leading back to a happier you.
I've now tried to read this book twice over the years - I give up again :( It can go to a charity shop now - maybe there is someone out there who will enjoy it :) Far too "Spiritual" for me
