Rate this book
An enrichman supplement to an otherwise traditional calculus course. Uses the Mathematica program as a tool to explore calculus beyond the level of rote calculations and template problems through multi-step structured laboratory assignments. I purchased this at a second-hand book store to learn how to learn Mathematica, and brush up on some calculus. Why not? It's been years, and things have changed a lot since I've taken calculus.

I was let down. The examples used were often confusing, and there was not enough typesetting difference to explain the concepts clearly. Even I, who mastered the material with paper and pen, and often programmed my own solutions often scratched my head at the ponderous text.

I'd say, if you see this book at a used book store like I did, buy it if you're math literate and can code in a few languages like me. If you are looking to learn from it, I get teh sense you'll be let down.
