I loved this book. It was suggested to me by a 9th grade English teacher and I immediately fell in love with this book. It is about the hardships of the Appalachian people trying to make a living in the Blue Ridge Mountains during the early 1900s. Wonderful dialect that reminds me of my grandmother.

I tried really hard to finish this book, but between the language and story line...I couldn't do it. It's a shame because the back cover story line sounded really interesting.
