This story of a boy who just wants to find a pet to befriend and not be allergic to is something that many students can relate to, especially in the spring time when allergies are an issue. This book is great for 3rd and 4th grade because it is different than any other book that the student may have read in the classroom. Marjorie has introduced the students to a chapter book that is short and sweet, which is great for students to transition into reading chapter books as they advance in their education.
