به عنوان یه کتاب مقدماتی به جبر ماتریس‌ها برای دانشجویان علوم اجتماعی کتاب خوبیه.
نمونه‌ها و کاربردهایی که از جبر ماتریس‌ها می‌گفت هم خوب بود. مشخصا توضیحی که از کاربرد ماتریس‌ها در معادله رگرسیون داشت از حیث کاربردی خوب بود. صدالبته که از حیث مفهومی و شهودی خیلی همین یه فقرهٔ رگرسیون خرواری بیشتر حرف در موردش هست.
یکی دوتا مشکلی که داره از این قراره:
یکی اینکه چون مخاطب رو دانشجوی علوم اجتماعی گرفته، مدل تدوین کتاب و اثبات قضایا و... توفیر داره با رسم مرسوم کتاب‌های ریاضی و جبر و برای همین ذهن سخت‌گیر یه‌جاهایی می‌تونه گیر بده بده کتاب؛
دوم هم اینکه دیگه واقعا زیادی مختصر بود. یعنی یه جزوه خیلی مدون و تمیز در جبر ماتریس‌ها بود ولی واقعا خیلی می‌شه کاربردهای عمیق‌تر و بهتری رو توی کتاب آورد.


حالا یه جوری می‌گم انگار همین رو هم دانشجوی نرمال علوم اجتماعی تو ایران می‌ره سراغش. استادش بلد نیست، خودش پیشکش.

I need matrix algebra for regression analysis. It's been a good book so far. Very readable for this type of book.

Nice quick review of the basics of matrix algebra, although it didn't go quite into as much detail as I had hoped.
