An excellent book for all fans of 80s movies. Informative, giving the reader all the geeky detaiuls such as birth places and birth dates of the actors alongside brief but adequate synopsis of all the movies it discusses.
I also adore the multitude of pictures in the book - and have to stop myself from tearing some out to frame and put on the wall!

My only issue with the book is that it could do with an update. As it was published 12 years ago, some of the information is a little dated, and occasionally wrong - as some of the actors mentioned have done a lot of TV work which obviously changed their profile.

While I found it interesting enough because of the topic it seemed to be lacking editorial polishing and organization. Random info about the years of movies in the 1980’s and then bio info about some of the actors.

This was much better than I'd thought it would be. It veers off into film theory language every so often - but then remembers it's a book about the Brat Pack and tells one such facts as Molly Ringwald went out with Anthony Michael Hall - which is far more important than any kind of analysis. It takes a tiny amount of time to read as there are so many pictures - and that is a good thing.

This book gives a pretty good explaination of the Eighties and the insight on the films that the members of the pack were in.
