Good text for a remedial English course. The chapters give an easy and thorough explanation of writing & reading and have a good focus on the working relationship between the two. I would only consider adding additional writing prompts in the essay chapters to help students brainstorm and begin their essays as for many of them, that can be the most daunting part.
