Jill is a pretty, bright girl whose mother makes her feel very unsure of herself. Jill's friends all tell her that she has everything going for her and that she should ignore her mother's comments.
But Jill still wants to be like Molly, her best friend. She wishes it so hard, briefly, she actually turns into Molly! This is when the two girls discover Jill has an incredible ability to morph into anyone she wants to be. That talent soon becomes a matter of critical importance for Jill.

I skim through this when I saw it was put on a totally legal site that isn't in hot water right now and not only did I read through more than I expected, I just had the share the ending of this one:
The titular Jill has an abusive mom who straight up insults her and threatens to hit at her at one point, to the point where her friend Molly's parents have to step at one point and tell us how bad verbally abusing your kid is. Then at the end we find out that Jill's mom is an "angry person" with kinda implied mental issues and she was just taking things out on Jill and she totally loves Jill for real and is getting put in a mental hospital to work out her problems. This all happens off page and Jill's mom sends a letter swearing she won't be nasty to her at all when she gets out.
So I guess being an "angry person' is a totally valid excuse to abuse your child and she somehow loves Jill for real and just needs a visit to a hospital to fix her weird mental/anger problems. I...j...what the hell?
Reading this when I didn't read any book after weeks. Simple story but still good. Good choice if you want book with mainly-used vocabularies because they use the common ones and even by not looking of any words you don't know from this book, you still can get the point of the story.
