Before I Die
Most folks, as they get older reminisce in the past of unfulfilled hopes, plans and dreams. Have you ever said yourself, or heard a few of your friends’ say, ‘Before I Die’?
In this story several different people say those famous words. A few get to see their dreams come true, others do not.
A young Pennsylvania doctor’s father wants his son to take his wife and go west, following his dreams. “Son, Before I Die…” His dream came true and they all went west to Trinidad, Colorado.
An outlaw with murder in his heart said, “Before I Die I want…” It never came to past, as he was sentenced to hang before he could fulfill this murderous dream.
Then there is a local town sheriff that does his job of protecting the people of his town. “Before I Die, I hope to see my town and county safe from robbers and killers. Why are some men so greedy they would kill for money?” Will his dream ever come true for Trinidad, Las Animas County, Colorado?
A judge sitting in his court room, before him sat killers, kidnappers and robbers. “Before I Die I want to see…” His dream was well on the way of coming true.

"HOWDY BOY"
United States Marshal Shorty Thompson, help rid the west of bad gunnies and other murderers, rapists and con-artists who were going around scamming honest hardworking people out of their assets. This adventure of Shorty Thompson exposes the use of clairvoyant, Shelia McCoy to help locate the kidnapped children and the route these kidnappers were taking to escape the posses that were trailing. Yes sir living in the west was extremely deadly. These bushwackers had no moral ethics; I don't think the majority of them even know what morals are. Majority of these gunnies couldn't read or write their names, but they knew how to cause confusion. This good reading, but the flow was broken because of missed editing of this adventure. You knew the plot,, but uncontructed sentences caused you to stop and re-read the sentences. Other than those hiccups, it's a good U.S. Marshal Shorty Thompson..."howdy boy..adventure.

Excellent story
Wish I had a Shiela McCoy looking out for me. Maybe I could make it to 120 as I told the Social Security person when I signed up at age 62. They think it's their money I'm getting. WRONG! Typical parasitic thinking. 88 and still going reading my Kindle.

A good story despite.
Naw, despite the vernacular and the constant eating and drinking. I pity the poor horses having to carry these overweight characters. Also, they should start their own chapter of AA.

The best westerns
Paul L. Thompson writes some of the best western novels. He uses real places and write a believable story. They are interesting with out graphic sex scenes so readable by a variety of age groups.
Shorty Thompson is a cute short character.

Another good read
I love Shorty Thompson US Marshal story's . Shorty is not always the main character but when he shows up you know the bullets are gonna fly.keep em coming Paul!

Another magnificent storyline from Mr. Paul Thompson and a greater rendition of our old western atmosphere. I cannot express how enthralled I am with all of these great western novels the author continuously composes without any relation to his previous stories. This series of U. S. Marshal Thompson is unsurpassed.
Well worthy of the five stars I have assigned this story, as all the previous books I have had the opportunity to read. I sincerely recommend this series to all serious readers of our real old west and what those voyagers have successfully accomplished in their quests for success. These magnificent
storylines, and character assignments, ate above reproach. I definitely encourage all of you lovers to read these book, of you are definitely the losers.

This story was about greed. What outlaws would do for money. Not all are cut from the same cloth. You will read about the unlikely good ones. I really enjoyed this book. In song heros.

Great story and writing!
I love this whole series and this one didn't disappoint! Loved young Sheila and her feelings, she was able to save a lot of people!
