I bought this book for my daughter in 1976. It was the perfect cookbook for an 8-year old. My great-niece is her age now and is totally into cooking. I couldn't find the Easy to Make, Good to Eat cookbook here at home and I couldn't remember the title. So, I searched online everywhere for a cookbook for kids -- something they could do without parental supervision. No luck. I had decided I was going to have to write a cookbook for her. Today, cleaning out my cookbook shelves, I FOUND IT! Paper is aging, but it is just as I remembered it. Not a cookbook for budding chefs, but a book of easy, fun recipes for that little kid just wanting to create something on their own in the kitchen.

Thank you, Martha Olson Condit. This little book is perfect!

Absolutely loved this book as a kid. I made everything in it, eventually. And it got me to try things I might not have otherwise. I still use the baked chicken recipe when I need something quick. And the 'hot dog go round' when I am out of hot dog buns and only have bread or hamburger buns.
