A lonely king. A woman of courage. An evil conspiracy. From a humble Hebrew girl to queen of Shushan, Esther has no way of knowing that she has a divine purpose to fulfil. When she learns that wicked Haman, the king’s high official, is plotting the widespread destruction of the Jews, she uses her position to try to rescue her people. But that requires revealing that she herself is a Jew. Will Haman’s plot succeed? And will Esther’s request for an audience with the king bring her certain death? A novel based upon the biblical account of Queen Esther. “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14
Bethany N. Wallace is 32 years old, and lives with her parents in Colorado. This young author suffers from multiple health problems and disability, but Bethany says that she chooses to believe that God is good and knows what is best for her life, no matter what happens. Her hobbies include a great deal of reading (she always has a book or her phone - so she can read ebooks - with her), designing and making beaded jewelry, scrapbooking, and giving gifts to encourage other people. She believes the Bible says that God comforts us in our trials so that we may be a comfort to others. (II Corinthians 1:4-5)Bethany endeavours to follow this verse as well as her life verse: II Corinthians l2:9-10. She is praying that God will use this book as an encouragement to you.
This was an interesting interpretation of the story of Esther. I found it difficult to read in parts because of some major issues with editing (for kindle). I also found the portrayel of Esther as converting everyone she meets to the Jewish faith whilst hiding her heritage a bit too romantically inclined.
A free Kindle download--quick read--story of Esther. Not as good as "One Night with the King", but a nice read of my favorite Bible story. Finished it in a day.
