An excellent look at the final films and final years of Joan Crawford, a period that barely merits a mention in other Crawford bios. The book briefly covers her early life and career before focusing on her last few films and brief tv career. If you're looking for a book about her films before Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? this is not the book for you.
The one caveat I have with this book are the numerous typos, repetitious text and grammatical errors. The don't impede you from enjoying the book, but they are a definite annoyance. Hopefully the author will update the text and clean those up.
